Pre-Cataclysm version

Young Black Bears are bear cub mobs that can be found above Gnomeregan in Dun Morogh. They sit idly in Jermaine and Anton Buckey's camp, while their Black Bear guardians chase the two dwarves up a tree.

Prior to Cataclysm, Young Black Bears roamed the area around Kharanos and along the road leading south from Kharanos. A small family of them also lived near the Ironforge Airfield.

The subject of this section was removed from World of Warcraft in patch 4.0.3.

Patch changes

• Patch 4.0.3a (2010-11-23):
  • Removed from Kharanos and Ironforge Airfield.
  • New version added above Gnomeregan. Level is now 3 - 5, down from 5 - 6. No longer hostile. No longer tameable. No longer drops any loot. Model changed from standard bear to bear cub.
