Archbishop Alonsus Faol watched the orcs destroy Stormwind. It was after this that he, with the help of Uther the Lightbringer, created the Knights of the Silver Hand. The writing on the coin suggests that Faol passed through Dalaran at some point before his death between the Second and Third Wars.
