Coilfang Armaments are a drop from trash mobs in the Steamvault, Heroic Slave Pens, and Serpentshrine Cavern.
As currency
Players who are Exalted with Cenarion Expedition can also turn these into Mortog Steamhead, a level 70 reagent, poison, and ammo vendor located inside the entrance to Coilfang Reservoir in the contested territory of Zangarmarsh. Mortog sells [Cenarion Healing Salve] and [Cenarion Mana Salve], which are healing and mana potions that can only be used in the Coilfang Reservoir instances. 1 [Coilfang Armaments] can be traded for 3 potions.
Notes
- This item is not BoP; it can be sold on the Auction House and traded.
- Before you are able to turn these in, you have to finish the quest [70D] Orders from Lady Vashj; however, as of patch 4.3, this quest cannot be obtained due to a bug.
- These were once turned in to Ysiel Windsinger in Cenarion Refuge to increase reputation with the Cenarion Expedition. The first turn-in gave you 250 reputation, and subsequent turn-ins gave 75 reputation each.
