Dagran Thaurissan II

Dagran Thaurissan II is the son of Emperor Dagran Thaurissan of the Dark Iron clan and Moira Thaurissan (born Moira Bronzebeard) of Ironforge. Dagran is thus the heir presumptive[1] to the thrones of both Ironforge and Shadowforge City.

After Magni Bronzebeard turned to diamond shortly before the Cataclysm, Moira brought Dagran to Ironforge[2] where he remains to this day.

Until he achieves his majority, the rule of Ironforge is decided by the Council of Three Hammers, composed of Moira, Muradin Bronzebeard and Falstad Wildhammer, after which the Council will disband.[3]

  • Moira's child appears in the nightmare of his grandfather Magni Bronzebeard, in which he is fully grown and is called Fenran.[4] As it is unlikely for Magni to have had any way of knowing his grandson's name, this is likely not an error from the writer of the comic, but rather an error by Magni due to lacking knowledge.
  • In the index of the Ultimate Visual Guide book Dagran is listed with the Emperor title.[5]
  • Despite being Half-mountain / half-dark dwarf, Dagran's current in-game model doesn't display any features commonly associated with Dark Iron Dwarves, such as dark skin or red eyes, his traits being those of a full-blooded Mountain Dwarf toddler. Similar to Anduin Wrynn, who in Vanilla was depicted with a generic human boy model but was later given a unique model when he grew older, Dagran, if he were to be aged in future expansions, will probably be upgraded with an unique model to reflect his mixed heritage.

Considering that he is described as a toddler at the start of the Cataclysm era,[6] he could be roughly 6 years old during the battle for Azeroth.
