Drift Lurkers are a type of venomous, worm-like creatures that resemble sand reavers and are found in snow drifts in Frostfire Ridge. Those who suffer its bite fall into a deep sleep, and few ever awaken. Durotan's mother Geyah was once bitten by a drift lurker, prompting the young Durotan to stay behind with Stormfang and protect her against a pack of garn as the rest of the Frostwolf clan migrated.[1]
