The Eye of the Kirin Tor

Warcraft film logo bright
This article contains information and lore exclusive to the Warcraft film universe, which is considered to be separate from the main Warcraft universe canon.

The Eye of the Kirin Tor is the sigil of the Kirin Tor. It is used in many places to signify the ownership or membership of the Kirin Tor. It depicts a stylized, watchful eye.[1]

Notes[]

The Eye is worn on the robes of members of the Kirin Tor, and is inlaid in the floor of the Chamber of Air.[1] It usually appears in purple and gold, but can be depicted without these colors.

Members are branded on the forearm with the lidless Eye of the Kirin Tor, the symbol literally seared into their flesh by a magical white flame of uncertain properties.[2] The pain is agonizing and the member's flesh can be smelled as it burns.[3] The symbol not only identifies the mage as a member of the order, but can at times serve other, magical purposes.[4]

Trivia[]

  • The Eye of the Kirin Tor is a new name for the traditional sigil of the Kirin Tor. The form is slightly different, lacking the extra top line of the main universe form, and with more spiked and outward-reaching beams descending from it.
