Where can I find more information about quests which you accept automatically? Specifically, I would very much like to know what happens if I abandon a quest which I have accepted automatically. Would I be able to accept the quest again at a later point, or you do only have one chance?

- We note quests that either start or end automatically by listing "Automatic" instead of a quest giver. There's no specific category these quests are placed in, but look at, say, the Redridge Mountains storyline, where there are a few quests that happen automatically.
- You will have to repeat whatever you did to trigger the quest in the first place, be it killing a specific mob or entering an area. --k_d3 02:11, 4 December 2010 (UTC)
- Or, occasionally, you can simply go back to town and talk to the questgiver directly. -- Dark T Zeratul (talk) 02:24, 4 December 2010 (UTC)
- Ok, thank you both for confirming what I suspected. However, is there any known event in game which you can only do once, and which triggers an automatic quest? I'm just brain-storming. Lugduname (talk) 03:32, 4 December 2010 (UTC)
- Nothing I've run across in my cata beta testing. I would have complained rather loudly had I found such a thing. Blizz (typically) knows better than that. --k_d3 03:41, 4 December 2010 (UTC)
- Despite assurances from KD3, there are events that you can do only once that may trigger an automatic quest. This happens when you get an automatic quest in a situation that can't be repeated due to a patch change. Blizzard is careful, but not that careful. Lots of strange achievements are based on stuff you can't do anymore, but some people may have done in the past. -- Fandyllic (talk · contribs) 12:02 AM PST 4 Dec 2010
