Frostmane Hold ^[27, 53] was once the base camp of the Frostmane ice trolls located in the western edge of the cold mountains of Dun Morogh south of Gnomeregan and New Tinkertown. The hold is comprised of a few buildings and a cave system. The disruption of the cataclysm has allowed Rockjaw troggs to drive out the ice trolls, ruled by Boss Bruggor. The Trolls who once resided here have fallen back to Frostmane Retreat.

Prior to the Cataclysm, young dwarves and gnomes were tasked to explore the caves and report back to Kharanos, in order to determine just how big a threat the trolls were. The area was heavily guarded by troll headhunters and hideskinners.

Now, Jessup McCree will send adventurers to deal with the troggs, including rescuing a number of captured gnomes. In Quest:Finishin' the Job, he will have you detonate explosives intended to collapse the tunnel through which the troggs arrived in order to stop their advance.
