Jeremiah Payson is a Forsaken cockroach vendor that was located in the Trade Quarter in the Undercity.

History

Born Jeremiah Felstone, Jeremiah became one of the countless victims of the Scourge that was raised into undeath. In time, Jeremiah's free will was restored, and he would choose to join the Forsaken led by Sylvanas Windrunner. In order to rid himself of his former countenance he changed his last name from Felstone to Payson and was known as the cockroach vendor by the time Forsaken had joined the Horde.^[2]

In time, adventurers venturing in the Western Plaguelands came across the ghost of his sister Janice, who was focused on having a package delivered.^[3] Said adventurers discovered the package in question was addressed to Jeremiah Felstone and discovered the truth about Jeremiah's heritage. When approached, Jeremiah remarked he hadn't used the Felstone last name in years and was surprised to hear that they had spoken to his sister and had a package for him from said sister.^[4] Opening the package revealed that Janice had sent him a number of personal effects and, to his humor, the deed to the Felstone farm. Declining to reclaim the farm, Jeremiah sought to grant Janice rest and to that end, he gave them the half of Janice's good luck he had in possession and told them that her husband John had the other half.^[5] Janice was subsequently granted peace, though it is unknown if Jeremiah was aware of it.^[6]

He is a victim of drunken lechery during the Love is in the Air world event.

During the Battle for Lordaeron, he was evacuated from Undercity. He is now found atop the gates of Orgrimmar.
