Mechanicals are a type of constructed creature or mob that is distinguished from organic beings. This includes most constructed creatures, except some elementals (like golems) and undead (like flesh golems).
Not having blood as such, most mechanicals are immune to bleed type melee attacks: [Rend], [Garrote], etc. They are also immune to draining abilities, such as a warlock's [Drain Life] spell. They are also immune to the [Fear] spell. Not counting un-categorized mobs, they are the only monster "family" that cannot be tracked by a hunter. Most mechanicals can be controlled using the [Gnomish Universal Remote].
Some mechanicals can be "skinned" by engineers (mob engineering), such as the Harvest Golem and various Northrend mechs.

As a hunter pet
Please add any available information to this section.
Mechanicals were added as a family of tamable hunter pets with the release of the World of Warcraft: Legion pre-patch. Gnome and goblin hunters are the only ones who can tame mechanical pets from the start; hunters of other races need to use a [Mecha-Bond Imprint Matrix] (craftable by engineers) in order to acquire a mechanical companion.[1]
In the RPG
A mechanical is a type of construct that is at least partially technological. These constructs are also known as "robots", though, the term also applies to characters piloting suits of steam armor.[2]
Mechanical constructs may be modified and affected like any other technological device.[2]
