Renewing Mist is a Mistweaver monk ability that applies a Heal over Time (HoT) effect.
Notes[]
- This ability empowers [Vivify] to do multi target healing, thanks to [Invigorating Mists].
- It also activates the mistweaver's [Mastery: Gust of Mists], providing a small direct heal.
- Extra instances of Renewing Mist can be applied with the abilities related to [Rapid Diffusion]. Valid targets are automatically selected.
- [Rising Mist] allows it to be extended when [Rising Sun Kick] is used.
- As an alternative choice node to Rising Mist, [Tear of Morning] improves the relationship between this ability and Vivify.
Tips[]
- Having a high count of active Renewing Mist applications is useful for the mistweaver to heal as many targets at once as possible because of the multi-target interaction with Vivify which applies healing to all instances of Renewing Mist. Because of this, in Dragonflight mistweaver gameplay generally revolves around creating and extending applications of Renewing Mist.
- As the HoT will jump targets, the main factor in target choice is likely to be the application of the mastery effect, rather than specifically targeting someone for the HoT effect itself. In other words, this spell can be safely cast on any target that does not already have an application of Renewing Mist. Casting on the same target will still extend the Renewing Mist, but the lower count of applications will make the total extension time from each activation of [Rising Mist] less powerful.
- Casting [Rising Sun Kick] is important for maintaining Renewing Mist because it activates both Rapid Diffusion and Rising Mist at the same time. Cast Rising Sun Kick after the other charges of Renewing Mists have been applied for maximum benefit.
- With a duration of 20s, two charges and a recharge time of 8s, at least two to five instances of the HoT may be directly applied at a time before counting [Rapid Diffusion] applications.
