this has been bugging me for a while - why is their damage output so low? Is it because their attack is slow? If it is, thats fine, but if its not, well then what was blizzard smoking? THEY'RE FREAKING BEARS, you know, giant walking muscles. They should do TONS of damage! aARRRGGGHHH!!!
- I am not sure if those are all really bear species. Rolandius (talk - contr) 04:51, 8 January 2009 (UTC)
- Yes you are right, not all of them are species. The species are with one * and the types of that species are with **. I will try to improve the article. Benitoperezgaldos (talk) 05:53, 8 January 2009 (UTC)
Brown bears, black bears, etc.[]
Is it really necessary to have separate icons and pages for every single different "subspecies" of bear, considering the only real difference is their fur color? I could understand if it was just separate articles for bears and polar bears, but not as it is now. If we have separate pages for black, brown, dire, gray, grizzly and polar bears, why don't we have separate pages for black boars, white owls or slightly greenish-blue carps? -- DeludedTroll (talk • contribs) 16:07, 25 December 2015 (UTC)
- Mmmm... Yes, You're right. Have just separate sections for bears and polar bears is better. Klakmuf 20:15, 25 December 2015
- I also find it somewhat ironic that bears are specifically mentioned as an example of not requesting icons for different skin/fur colors on the Wowpedia talk:List of race icons page, considering that bears are one of the few creatures that have multiple icons just to depict different colors. "Creatures of similar nature or different skin/fur colors should also not be requested, for example we don't need a icon for polar bears, black bears, and brown bears." -- DeludedTroll (talk • contribs) 19:19, 25 December 2015 (UTC)
- Because we didn't want to have several icons for the same creature. Other users took it upon themselves to create them themselves instead of requesting them. (Sssss/Slithered) 19:22, 25 December 2015 (UTC)
- Fair enough. Still, I don't think several articles for what is essentially the same thing is needed. -- DeludedTroll (talk • contribs) 19:26, 25 December 2015 (UTC)
