Merging[]

Chaos energy is Fel, as per Chronicle. This article has literally nothing to say. It mentions fel, the twisting nether, and some other stuff about destruction. It serves absolutely no purpose and should be merged with the article on fel. -- MyMindWontQuiet (talk) 21:01, 19 January 2017 (UTC)

Perhaps, but the page has been mutilated. It is unfair to debate the purpose of the article before it is fixed.--SWM2448 22:37, 19 January 2017 (UTC)
I've stepped back a few revisions to see if there's a way to salvage things. -- Dark T Zeratul (talk) 22:57, 19 January 2017 (UTC)
Thanks. It seems like all the information of this article comes from Setesh, who uses warlocks spells such as chaos bolt and seed of chaos (as well as void magic). -- MyMindWontQuiet (talk) 23:10, 19 January 2017 (UTC)

In the RPG, chaos energy is not fel. A straight merging of this page with fel wouldn't leave a place for the RPG information. Also, chaos as a game mechanic in WoW is something distinct from fel and wouldn't fit the fel page. --Aquamonkeyeg (talk) 07:20, 22 January 2017 (UTC)

Plus unlike fel, "chaos" kinda have the tradition to bypass armor, both in Warcraft III and WoW. If not a page, I think it it at least deserves a blurb about it on the fel page, where we could then have the RPG information about chaos. Xporc (talk) 10:04, 22 January 2017 (UTC)
Well you could just make "In the RPG" and "In the game" sections where we'd explain that in the RGP chaos energy is not fel and that in-game chaos magic is not just fel. I'm fine either way. -- MyMindWontQuiet (talk) 21:57, 22 January 2017 (UTC)
I'm not saying I'm necessarily in favor of a merge, but I wouldn't consider the RPG a good argument against it given that it's non-canon. If nothing else, we'd merge the canon info and leave chaos energy as a strictly RPG page. -- Dark T Zeratul (talk) 22:57, 22 January 2017 (UTC)
Chaos was what fel was called in Warcraft III (when it wasn't fel), but I guess it was too Warhammerish for them to keep (same reason the Alliance vehicles changed). The RPG is talking about an artificial force that comes from engines. Setesh is void-based, unrelated to those two things. I do not see much use for this page, unless use is found for a strictly RPG page like DTZ said.--SWM2448 02:48, 23 January 2017 (UTC)
