Seeing as how Rend and Maim were apparently killed or captured by Illidan's forces in Outland, would it not seem more likely that Dal'Rend Blackhand, the dragonrider, is actually the son of Rend? Just wondering. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Iavas (talk · contr).

There is related in-game text, included in the article, that makes it clear they were never part of Illidan's forces in Outland according to the WoW account. I think it's a case of a minor retcon.--Aeleas 11:34, 28 March 2006 (EST)

Is it even worth mentioning the Darkmoon cards? As he is not the only Mob that drops them? --Gtez 23:18, 23 July 2006 (EDT)

Dal'Rend, his true name

Dal'Rend is Rend's true name. Why on earth would the two weapons he drops otherwise be named "Dal'Rend's XXXX"? Grom Hellcream is a similiar case. Regards, --Theron the Just 05:57, 24 June 2007 (UTC)

What are you trying to get at? --Ragestorm (talk · contr) 11:36, 24 June 2007 (UTC)
Grom is to Grommash as Brox is to Broxigar as Rend is to Dal'Rend. Simple.--SWM2448 14:00, 24 June 2007 (UTC)
I know what he meant, I was asking why it was brought up. Though, looking at the edit history, I see why. --Ragestorm (talk · contr) 17:24, 24 June 2007 (UTC)

"I was asking why it was brought up"

I recall "certain" people asking, if not ordering me to start using discussion page more. Besides, not knowing if someone would disagree with the edits or not it was a good idea. No harm done, no? Regards, --Theron the Just 03:35, 25 June 2007 (UTC)

None at all. In future, I must endeavor to scratch the surface a little more, regardless of what chromatic dragons may lie beneath. --Ragestorm (talk · contr) 11:39, 25 June 2007 (UTC)

Wrong citations

In this part of the article:

Rend and Maim took control of the remaining Blackrock orcs and begun to rebuild the Horde from Blackrock Spire. Abot two years later, the portal reopened and emissaries from Ner'zhul were immediately sent to Rend and Main asking them to rejoin the Horde and to borrow the red dragons held captive by the allied Dragonmaw clan. Rend refused.[1] Not long after Nefarian came to Blackrock Spire and took control of the Blackhand brothers and the forces under their control.[2]

It had citations of Tides of Darkness but I have the book in my hands and there isn't any of that mentioned. Maybe they are from the Beyond the Dark Portal novel, as i don't have it could someone confirm this? Benitoperezgaldos (talk) 22:44, 11 August 2008 (UTC)

Dead or Alive?

ok since on our major characters page Rend is considered an Orange and not a Yellow or Green, shouldnt we know if he is truly dead or alive due to lore —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Maelstrong35573 (talk · contr).

He got decapitated in H [60R] For The Horde!. Unless there's a val'kyr hanging out around Blackrock Mountain, he's dead as dust. -User:Malcior 7:13, 15 March 2017.

Move?

What about this one? Move to Dal'rend Blackhand as Rend was his nickname? --Mordecay (talk) 15:36, 18 September 2015 (UTC)

I would say no, because he was called Rend in-game and is rarely referred to by his actual name (from what I've seen). Most people know him by Rend, so I think it should stay as-is. -- IconSmall TrollDeathKnight Male DeludedTroll (talkcontribs) 16:10, 18 September 2015 (UTC)
