The Rake is a hostile level 10 rare mob lion found in Mulgore, east of Thunder Bluff in the Golden Plains. He is on a one hour spawn timer.
History
The Rake was formerly one of the most commonly seen hunter pets due to his attack speed of 1.2, the second-best attack speed available in a tameable pet. The only ones faster were Broken Tooth and the Bloodseeker Bat with a 1.0 attack speed, though there are a few other beasts that also had a 1.2 attack speed. Since pet attack-speed normalization in patch 2.0.1, he has lost this significance. Numerous savannah cats in the Barrens are identical in appearance, and are easily available for taming. Since Deathwing's return, the Rake's only attack is Leaping Rush.
Abilities
- Leaping Rush - Jumps at the target, inflicting 100% weapon damage.
- Muscle Tear - Cripples an enemy, inflicting normal damage plus 6 and reducing its Strength by 6 for 5sec.
